FAQ: Do I need to be a Washington resident to apply for a WA broker license
Do I need to be a Washington resident to apply for a WA broker license
If you already hold a real estate license in another jurisdiction, and your current license is equivalent to a Washington’s broker license at minimum, you can apply for a broker license in Washington. In most cases, you will only need to take the Washington law portion of the licensing exam. However, your license must either be active or have been active in the past 6 months.
You will need to obtain certified license verifications from all jurisdictions in which you hold a license. You may qualify for a waiver for the pre-license education requirement, as well as the national section of the Washington real estate license exam, if you can provide certified completion verification of education previously completed.
