What is the cost of the South Carolina state licensing exam?
The fee for taking the exam is $63 for taking both portions of the exam or $55 if you only need to take one portion. Exam fees are good for one year once paid, but are not refundable.
If you need to retake the exam or retake a portion of the exam, you will need to pay the fee again. This is true whether you were unsuccessful in taking it or you missed your appointment and did not reschedule within the two-day window.
Regardless of the method of registering, cash and personal checks are not accepted. Payment must be made by a major credit card when registering online, by phone, or via fax. If registering via standard mail, you may pay by credit card or via company check, cashier’s check or money order. All checks must be made payable to PSI. Print your name on the check or money order to ensure your payment is properly credited.
