FAQ: When should I disclose any prior criminal activity to LARA?

When should I disclose any prior criminal activity to LARA?

When completing your license application via iCOLA, you will be asked "have you been convicted of a felony not previously reported to the Department for this license type or occupation?".
If you answer "Yes", your license application will be kept on 'pending' status, and you will receive a notification from LARA regarding what additional information is required from you. One of the documents you will be required to submit is a Request For Conviction History form.
Once LARA receives, reviews, and approves your additional documentation, you will receive an email notifying you of your authorization to register for the exam.
