FAQ: How do I schedule my Florida real estate licensing exam?

How do I schedule my Florida real estate licensing exam?

Candidates are encouraged to review the DBPR's candidate information booklet, found here, before making a reservation for the state exam. Applicants must first apply to the Florida DBPR for authorization before they can reserve an examination time.

Once a licensee's application has been approved by the Department of Real Estate, Pearson VUE will send the real estate license candidate an official authorization letter/email. The candidate will then be eligible to reserve an exam date. Test-takers are advised to check both their email's inbox and spam/junk folder for this approval notice by email.

According to Pearson VUE's candidate booklet, applicants must VERIFY that they have created a web account with their LEGAL name as it appears on their government-issued ID and that personal information is CORRECT.

Exam appointments can be reserved up to one calendar day prior to the day you wish to test. Of course, as always, test reservations are subject to availability. Pearson VUE Customer service is available at 1-888-204-6289.

Applicants can register as far in advance as they wish based on seat availability. However, it is recommended that an applicant provide at least five business days before the test date because reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Candidates may register for the state exam via the Internet by credit card number or electronic check or voucher, and valid email address.

A confirmation will be returned to the applicant by email. Exam reservations can be canceled or changed on Pearson VUE's website. Applicants should have the following when making a reservation: their authorization notice and candidate ID number, their full contact information, the exam name, and a payment method.
