What are the CE requirements for NY licensees?
You must complete 22.5-hours of continuing education for each two-year renewal period.
Prior to July 1, 2021, all NY real estate licensees must complete 22.5 hours of approved continuing education, including 3 hours of fair housing, and at least 1 hour of law of agency.
If you are renewing your NY license for the first time, you must complete 2 hours of law of agency.
After July 1, 2021, all NY real estate licensees must complete 22.5 hours of approved continuing education that includes at least 2.5 hours on the subject of ethical business practices, at least 1 hour of recent legal matters, at least 3 hours of fair housing, and at least 1 hour of law of agency. If you are renewing your NY license for the first time, you must complete 2 hours of law of agency.
Continuing education courses may be completed online or in-person.
