FAQ: What happens if I don't complete the Georgia Post-license course?

What happens if I don't complete the Georgia Post-license course?

The Georgia Real Estate Commission requires all newly licensed agents to complete the 25-hour Sales Postlicense Course within one year of obtaining their license.
If you fail to complete the post-license course, your license will be considered "lapsed" and you will have to reinstate your license.

You can reinstate your license without paying a fee if you enrolled in the post-license course on or before the due date, and you went on to complete the post-license course within six months of the due date.
If these two conditions are met, you simply have to submit the Post License Course Reinstatement Application.

If these two conditions are NOT met, you will have to pay a reinstatement fee in addition to submitting the Reinstatement Application.
If the Reinstatement Application is received within four months of the day the license lapsed, the reinstatement fee will be $100.
If the Reinstatement Application is received after four months of the day the license lapsed, the reinstatement fee will be $100, plus $25 for each month after the four month period.
